Eastern European Tour 2019

Prague, Czech Republic; Krakow, Poland; Budapest, Hungary
June 24-July 3, 2019

Bella Voce & Bella Cantare

  • Concert performances were held in a retirement home in Prague, a church in Krakow, and a concert hall for the blind in Budapest.
  • The singers’ favorite performances were impromptu concerts in the Wielizcka Salt Mines outside of Krakow and a roadside country church in the south of Poland.
  • The singers were awed and moved by their experience at Auschwitz.
  • Touring the old cities of Prague, Krakow and Budapest gave the singers a taste of the different languages and cultures of three very different cities.

Cincinnati 2019

Queen City Children’s Choir Festival
June 20-23, 2019

Ragazzi

  • Experienced a non-competitive festival, Ragazzi performed combined repertoire under the direction of Founder and Artistic Director of the Cincinnati Youth Choir, Robyn Lana, and shared their own repertoire in the Gala Concert.
  • Guest Artist, Jim Papoulis, led the festival choir through the process of song-writing culminating with a performance of their work in the Gala Concert.
  • Singers experienced a day at King’s Island amusement park and the Cincinnati Art Museum as well as attended a FC Cincinnati Soccer Game.

Austria Tour 2017

Vienna, Salzburg, and Innsbruck, Austria; Nitra, Slovakia; Oberammergau, Germany
July 19-29, 2017

Bella Voce

  • Concert performances were held at St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, the Melk Abbey, and the church of Mondsee, near Salzburg — the featured church in the movie “Sound of Music.”
  • Included in the tour was an excursion to Bolzano, Italy, where the singers viewed the Famous 5,300-year-old “Ice Man.”
  • In Vienna, the singers learned about the history and art of the Hapsburg dynasty.
  • Salzburg was the childhood home of Mozart, and the singers enjoyed walking through the cobblestone streets of the old town.
  • Innsbruck provided shopping as well as a mountain excursion.

Oregon 2017

Picfest — Pacific International Boys & Young Men’s choral Festival
Eugene, Oregon and Oregon Coast

Canto Vivo

  • Participated in Pacific International choral festival with Boys and Young Men.
  • First ALL BOYS tour experience for YNS.
  • Participants were led by celebrity guest artist Fernando Malvar-Ruiz; Artistic Director of American Boychoir of Princeton, NJ.
  • Attended Oregon Bach Festival.
  • Explore the rugged Oregon Coast- Recreation activities together (Sand Dune Buggy tour; Sand Board lessons, Lighthouse Tours, Meals on the Oregon Coast).

Cantabile

  • Experienced a non-competitive festival, members of Cantabile performed combined repertoire under the direction of Founder and Artistic Director of the Cincinnati Youth Choir, Robyn Lana, and shared their own repertoire in the Gala Concert.
  • Guest Artist, Jim Papoulis, led the festival choir through the process of song-writing culminating with a performance of their work in the Gala Concert.
  • Singers experienced a day at King’s Island amusement park and Newport Aquarium as well as bonding with their fellow Cantabile singers.

Indianapolis 2016

June 10-11, 2016

  • Choir share with Indianapolis Children’s Choir at Butler University; Participated in vocal clinic with Artistic Director Joshua Pedde.
  • Visited the acclaimed Indianapolis Zoo.

Ireland 2015

July 23 to August 1, 2015

Bella Voce

  • This was the very first overseas international tour for YNS.
  • Performances were held in Christchurch Cathedral in Dublin and the Crossmaglen Rangers Hall in Northern Ireland.
  • Visits to Blarney Castle and Galway Bay, as well as a drive through the Connemara region.
